Third Generation Cradle

February 22, 2018

A good friend of mine is having her first child. A baby girl named Sadie Belle. Her mom reached out to us explaining that she has a cradle her husband used when he was a baby. She used the same cradle for her kids and is now passing it down for Sadie to use. It is such a cute cradle but she was having a hard time finding bedding to fit her cradle size. So she asked if we could make a custom bedding set for Sadie Belle. We of course said yes. She needs two fitted sheets, a blanket, and a bumper. Sadie’s nursery is floral themed and recommended colors were coral, gray, and maybe a pop of mint. Challenged accepted!

We used a gray and coral floral design fabric for the bumpers, with coordinating mint piping and ties. The bumpers are also reversible so she can have either color facing which ever way she desires.

Then we made two fitted sheets - one in a solid mint and the other in a dotted scallop.

Finally we made an adorable

soft minky blanket with a floral pattern on one side and solid coral on the other.
